Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our road construction projects in Odhisha. The Site Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a thorough understanding of road construction processes and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Site Management and Supervision:
Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities, including the work of construction crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators.
Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and company policies.
Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to the project schedule.
Manage site logistics, including the organization of materials, equipment, and personnel.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and identify any potential issues or deviations from plans.
Maintain accurate site records, including daily progress reports, material usage, and equipment logs.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to report on progress and address any challenges.
Team Leadership and Communication:
Provide clear instructions and guidance to the construction team.
Motivate and manage site personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Effectively communicate with all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and local authorities.
Resolve any on-site conflicts or issues promptly and efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience:
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 2-7 years of experience in site supervision for road construction projects.
Proven experience in managing construction crews and subcontractors.
Thorough knowledge of road construction materials, methods, and equipment.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
Familiarity with relevant software and technology used in construction management (e.g., MS Office Suite).
Valid driver's license.
Preferred: Relevant certifications in construction safety or quality control.
