1. Educational Background:

2. Experience Requirements:
- 8-10 years of experience in vessel operations, ideally in a role that involves significant exposure to vessel management, port operations, or cargo handling.
- Experience in outsourcing and remote operations management, ideally within the maritime or logistics sector.
- Strong experience in communicating with diverse stakeholders, including headquarters, vessel operators, ship masters, and other key maritime roles.
- Previous experience in preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process mapping, and overseeing transaction-level operational activities.
- Project management experience, particularly related to vessel operations outsourcing or process improvements.
- Experience in mentoring and leading teams, preferably in an outsourcing context.
- Knowledge of the entire operational cycle from pre-vessel arrival to post-departure activities, including freight calculations, stowage factor calculations, and bunker requirements.
3. Key Skills:
- Project Management: Ability to manage vessel operations-related projects, including identifying areas for outsourcing, developing project plans, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Operational Knowledge: Strong understanding of maritime operations (voyage estimate preparation, bunker procurement, freight calculation, damage handling, etc.).

- Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in managing interactions between technical (Digital Information Team) and operational (Vessel Operations) teams.
- Documentation & Reporting: Ability to prepare and maintain SOPs, process maps, and regular project updates for management.
- Leadership & Mentoring: Experience in building and mentoring teams, particularly in an outsourcing or operations context.
4. Technical Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of vessel operations documentation, including bills of lading, cargo manifests, and other essential documents required during loading and discharge.
- Familiarity with digital tools used in maritime logistics and vessel operations (e.g., ship management software, ERP systems, or port logistics platforms).
- Exposure to transaction-level operational processes, and ability to guide teams in handling these processes.
5. Soft Skills:
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and operational stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to proactively address potential risks in business delivery and provide quality solutions based on data-driven assessments.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage transaction-level operations, ensuring accuracy in calculations, documentation, and processes.
- Adaptability: Ability to handle changing priorities and effectively manage outsourcing operations remotely.
6. Other Requirements:
- Team Management: Experience in handling a team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term plans for outsourcing activities, including identifying which parts of vessel operations can be effectively outsourced.
- Willingness to Travel: Occasional travel may be required to meet with teams or stakeholders at different locations.
