We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales & Customer Success Professional.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients by addressing their technical and commercial needs and deep understanding of manufacturing processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring the company's products meet both technical and business requirements, contributing to customer satisfaction and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and new customers by understanding their technical requirements and providing tailored solutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on technical issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of any concerns.
- Conduct regular reviews with clients to assess satisfaction and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by leveraging technical knowledge to develop solutions that align with client requirements.
- Work closely with the sales team to support technical aspects of negotiations, tenders, and contract discussions.
- Develop strategies for expanding the company’s market reach by offering technical solutions that meet customer challenges and demands.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with key clients, acting as a liaison between the customer and the internal technical teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Technical Support and Expertise:
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products, manufacturing processes, and technical capabilities.
- Provide technical consultation and support to clients during pre-sales and post-sales processes, ensuring their requirements are understood and met.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and demonstrations for clients, showcasing how the company’s products and services align with their needs.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the execution of projects, from the initial proposal stage to delivery, ensuring that technical specifications, timelines, and cost targets are met.
- Coordinate with internal departments, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables meet customer expectations in terms of quality, cost, and timing.
- Supply Contract Negotiation:
- Lead negotiations with customers, focusing on both technical requirements and supply terms.
- Ensure that contracts are aligned with the company’s goals while delivering the required technical solutions to clients.
- Market and Competitor Analysis:
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitor products, and innovations, providing strategic insights to enhance the company’s market positioning.
- Conduct regular market research to identify new opportunities for product development and business expansion.
- Advise senior management on market dynamics and suggest improvements to the company's product offerings based on customer feedback and technical advancements.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of technical sales and business development professionals, ensuring their continuous growth and alignment with the company’s goals.
- Provide technical training to the sales team to ensure they are equipped to handle client inquiries and discussions effectively.
- Foster a collaborative environment between technical, sales, and operational teams to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial preferred) is mandatory. MBA or equivalent qualification in Business/Management is a plus.
- 7-15 years of experience in a techno-commercial role, preferably in electrical equipment manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of customer relationship management.
- Proven experience in business development, or sales, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business opportunities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines.
- Proficient in using ERP systems, costing software, and advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
Work Environment:
- Office-based role with frequent interaction with production, engineering, sales, and procurement teams.
- Regular visits to client sites, manufacturing plants, and vendor locations to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
- Potential for international travel to meet clients or attend industry conferences and trade shows.
