engineering side and the financial/business operations of the company. Key Responsibilities
Costing & Pricing:
Develop detailed cost analysis for automotive engineering projects, including
materials, labor, overheads, and R&D investments.
Create and manage pricing strategies to ensure competitive positioning while
maximizing profitability.
Analyze and mitigate cost risks, ensuring alignment with company objectives and
market trends.
Business Planning:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual and long-term business
plans.
Provide data-driven financial forecasts and identify key business drivers to influence
strategic decisions.
Support investment analysis for new projects, product launches, and market
expansion.
RFQ Management:
Review and evaluate RFQ documents and provide accurate cost estimates for bids.
Collaborate with the sales, engineering, and production teams to prepare competitive
proposals.
Track and manage RFQ timelines and deliverables, ensuring on-time submissions.
Automotive Engineering Integration:
Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical specifications,
production processes, and design costs.
Analyze engineering changes and assess their financial impact on projects and
pricing.
Stay updated on industry standards, technologies, and innovations to refine costing
and pricing models.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:
Present financial insights, pricing strategies, and cost breakdowns to senior business
leaders. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers
and partners.
Act as a liaison between finance, operations, and engineering teams to ensure
seamless collaboration. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Proven expertise in cost modeling, pricing strategies, and financial forecasting.
Strong knowledge of automotive engineering processes, materials, and production
methods.
Familiarity with RFQ processes, supplier negotiations, and project costing.
Business & Financial Acumen:
Deep understanding of business operations, market dynamics, and financial metrics.
Ability to analyze complex data and present actionable insights to senior leaders.
Knowledge of ERP systems and costing tools is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and
engage senior leadership.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
High level of attention to detail, organization, and time management. Preferred Qualifications:
CA/CWA along with bachelor’s or master’s degree in automotive engineering,
Mechanical Engineering,
13+ years of experience in costing, pricing, or business planning within the
automotive or engineering industry.
Certification in financial analysis, cost accounting, or project management is an
advantage.Performance Metrics:
