Skills Required
- Hands on experience in Creo/Catia (Modelling, sketching, Drawing) and feature modelling.
- Knowledge in plastic, casting, sheet metal product design and process.
- Knowledge in Automotive product cooling system and lubrication system.
- Knowledge on GD&T and Its interpretations
- Knowledge of manufacturing process, design standards and Change Management.
- Understanding of APQP / Design phase
- Awareness of QMS /ISO standards along with Japanese working system.
General Responsibilities:
- Lead design activities for powertrain components (E Axle)/system responsibilities for series/new component development
- Responsibility for design approval with customer & Internal team
- Lead the VA/VE Activities
- Experience in life cycle management for powertrain component (E-Axle).
- Exposure to failure management (Development & Field) capable of handling independently or with minor supervision.
- Develop engineering calculations, diagram and technical reports.
- Exposure to body testing and validation test procedure and processes, homologation and certification requirements.
- Translate activities from global project plans, manage stakeholder and drive the projects.
- Expertise in GD&T, 2-dimension tolerance stack up analysis, familiar with ISO /DIN standards.
- Able to manage a team, represent in-group meetings, prepare minutes of meeting, task prioritizing, flexible approach, ability to negotiate with relevant stakeholders.
- Flexible to travel globally based on business needs to participate in various supplier discussions, technical and management discussion.
- Design and development of components, DVP, FMEA, failure analysis, product ownership and stakeholder management.
