Summary of the Role:
As a Chemical Process Engineer, will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing the
manufacturing of chemical products and processes. He will analyze chemical reactions and processes
to improve efficiency, safety, and quality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the ...
smooth and compliant operation of our production facilities.Responsibilities:● Lead process engineering activities for green field & brown field projects, including designing and
implementing manufacturing processes.
● Strong understanding of detail engineering principles and practices.
● Conduct the material and energy balance for the processes.
● Conduct the end to end water balance.
● Develop the PFD and P&IDs & equipment layout.
● Basic engineering package development for green field and brown field projects (include
construction chemical and polymer plants)
● Develop equipment lists, process data sheets, electrical load lists, Instrument data sheets as per
P&IDs.
● Conduct hydraulic calculations, pump calculations, and line sizing for process systems.
● Designing of Pressure safety valves, Rupture Disk for process systems.
● Understanding Utilities Equipment like Boiler, Refrigeration, Water Treatment including its P&ID
preparation and layout preparation.
● Develop the interlock sheets (cause & effect diagram)
● Co-ordination with detail engineering contractor for timely completion of projects.
● Process improvement in existing plants
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes
through methods engineering
● Conduct Hazard and Operability study (HAZOP study). Requirements (education, experience, competencies, and specific job requirements):
● Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering
● 10-12 years of experience in engineering operations, project etc
Experience and Skills:
● Minimum 10 - 12 years’ experience in Process Designing Chemical/Petrochemical plants. Must
have worked as Lead role in last 2 years.
● A solid understanding of the principles of Standardization process.
● Well conversant with industry best practices for project engineering, execution including safety,
quality during project delivery
● Strong knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices chemical industry.
● Ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
● Effective communication and collaboration skills
● Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools (e.g., Hysys, Aspen, ChemCAD)
experience
