The PSV -Process safety valve Lead reports to Global Operation support lead.
A team of 2-3 contractual Mechanical / Chemical Engineers, specialized in safety devises,
PSVs reports to this position. To manage his deliverable, he also uses / engages
outsourced resources specialized for safety devices & PSVs.

This position leads the support for all the aspects related to pressure safety devices &
PSVs for all the plants across the globe from Global Capability Center – GCC
Pune.
This position is crucial in terms of capability for overall support for pressure
safety devices & PVS to all the sites across the globe, and this is a key focus are
for all the sites as on today.
This position is always updated with all the related codes, standards, best safety practices,
vendors in the chemical process industry in India & across the world.
With his knowledge and expertise, he is responsible to provide solutions and
recommendations, evaluate-certify PSV adequacy for all the enquiries received from all the
sites.
This position will collaborate & engage with diverse team / experts within and outside
to seek correct solution / recommendations in timely manner.

Responsibilities:
Along with corporate HSES team, lead the GCC capabilities in terms of safety devices
solutions, philosophy, approach for all the across the globe.
Perform complete adequacy checks, sizing, designing & providing most appropriate
solutions & recommendations for all the inquiries received from various in
timely manner.
Establish procedure / protocol to receive all the necessary data, including various
scenarios, installations, upstream & downstream conditions / piping, based on this data,
select & size safety devices, perform adequacy, suggest recommendation, review the
effectiveness of these suggestions / recommendations and built database for future
reference.
Be proficient in applying Software for sizing safety devices such as Aspen HYSYS,
Aspen plus, PVS application Suits by petrosof etc.
Establish a robust capability on all safety devices, rupture disc, PVRV, breather valves,
thermal release valves selection criteria, types, installations & maintenance. Explore ways
to maintain capabilities of highest level.
Lead and build the expertise, knowledge center with global engineering
standards, Industry codes, AIchE, API, NFPA, OSHA for safety devices.
Continuously update self, to improve GCC capabilities with new developments, latest
industrial best practices, new devices.
Establish and maintain contacts with external subject matter experts-SME on safety
devices use- adequacy, renowned vendors etc. so that this expertise can be readily
utilized towards troubleshooting as and when required.
Continuously interact and build the relationship with various site safety, engineering
maintenance and operation team members to understand their repetitive problems,
challenges, limitations, so that effective solutions can be provided in timely manner.
Maintain cordial cross functional relationship with other engineering team at GCC to
leverage the solution providing capabilities of GCC.
Be a part of large global team, flexible and ready to support across all the global sites.
