Responsibilities: ● Develop, maintain & updated GES, guidelines, and procedures. Data sheets for various Mechanical equipment (static & rotary), utility systems & auxiliaries -aides. ● Take inputs from the Global stake holders to align these GES to leverage learning / best practices ensuring a versatile handy document for all the users at all sites. ● Collaboration with the global and regional stakeholders to understand the requirement & priority, expediate the standardization process and meet the overall program advantage to the corporation. ● Monitor industry trends and best practices, set up mechanism to know the changes in relevant codes (ASME, API, OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, PIP etc.) to continuously update GES & standardization efforts. ● Collaborate with GES colleague to ensure consistency in standardization for all the functions. ● Seek customer feedback, both positive and negative, and providing feedback to the manager. Make necessary changes / modifications in GES strategy and communicate back. ● Collaborate with global stakeholders within operation and procurement organization leveraging GES to drive improvements in operational safety & cost reduction. ● Support Operation & Engineering team, implement GES at their site across the organization. Interpreting the requirements and convert it into workable solutions. Consistent communication is the key. ● Provide training and support to engineering teams on standard implementation. ● Performing each task from inception to conclusion to the highest possible standards is the essence for the role. Education Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university. Experience and Skills ● 15+ years of experience in Chemical Process Industry. Last assignment (minimum 8 years) for mechanical engineering streams in a consulting firm or design department of a large specialty chemical process industry. 2 Rev no.: 00 HR-QR-05 ● A solid understanding of the principles of Standardization process. Minimum 7- 8 years hands on experience in equipment, equipment related systems, auxiliary’s standardization. ● By virtue of his experience, it is expected that candidate will have thorough exposure to at least 70% of each of below three lists. ✔ Equipment: - Large (100KL to 500KL) storage tanks, Reactors, Pressure vessels- autoclaves, various types of Heat Exchanges, Filters, Blenders, ✔ Systems: - Thermic Fluid heaters systems, Boiler & it’s accessories system, Chillers, Agitators & Mixers, Solid material feeding- dosing systems. ✔ Auxiliaries: - Insulation, PVF (Pipes, Valves & fittings), Equipment fabrication techniques, Welding techniques, Piping fluid Index, Pipe stress analysis, Pipe supporting techniques. ● Proficient in various codes for Mechanical Engineering (ASME, API, OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, PIP etc.) ● Earlier experience of dealing / interacting with renowned local / global consulting -engineering firms , equipment manufacturer is preferred. ● Experience in a Global organization environment will have clear advantage. ● Adequate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (also including Power point for presentations), Various forms of database. ● Ability to understand the requirements through remote interaction, asking prompt questions, analyzing provided information. ● Fluency in English is must. Attention to details and accuracy - perfection, meticulousness in drafting. ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the team & other LZ global stake holders.
