Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop, implement, and manage the overall QA strategy for the machining process in automobile parts manufacturing.
- Lead and manage the QA team to ensure consistent application of quality standards.
- Establish and maintain quality management systems (QMS) compliant with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
Process Control & Improvement:
- Oversee the machining processes, ensuring that all parts are manufactured to meet precise specifications and tolerances.
- Analyze process data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
Customer Interaction:
- Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding quality-related issues and concerns.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding product defects or quality issues.
- Collaborate with customers to ensure that their specifications and requirements are fully met.
- Manage customer audits and provide technical support to ensure compliance with their quality expectations.
Inspection & Testing:
- Supervise incoming, in-process, and final inspection of manufactured parts.
- Ensure the proper use of measurement tools and equipment for testing product quality.
- Implement quality control procedures for sampling, testing, and validating products before shipment.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
- Prepare and present reports on quality metrics, trends, and issues to senior management.
- Ensure all necessary certifications, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications are documented and adhered to.
Team Development & Training:
- Provide training and mentorship to the QA team, operators, and production staff on quality standards, inspection methods, and troubleshooting.
- Foster a culture of quality across all departments, emphasizing the importance of quality at every stage of the manufacturing process.
Supplier Quality Management:
- Evaluate and audit suppliers to ensure that the materials or components meet the required quality standards.
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure adherence to automotive industry standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Keep updated with the latest industry trends, regulations, and quality standards to maintain compliance.
