Key Responsibilities:
Forecasting & Demand Planning understanding: Understand and support procurement
planning of material for the company
Purchase Planning: Develop purchase plans and timelines for materials and goods based on
forecasts, lead times, and company requirements.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and determine the optimal amount of
stock to keep on hand, balancing cost-effectiveness with operational needs.
Supplier Coordination: Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods
according to the purchase plan. Negotiate lead times and delivery schedules as necessary.
Order Management: Place orders with vendors in a timely manner to meet production
requirements. Ensure purchase orders are properly documented and tracked.
Cost Control & Budgeting: Assist in managing the procurement budget by analyzing
purchasing costs, looking for cost-saving opportunities, and maintaining cost-effective
purchasing practices.
Lead Time & Stock Level Optimization: Work to reduce lead times and improve stock
turnover while maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet demand.
Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure the
smooth movement of goods from suppliers to storage or production locations.
Supplier Performance Evaluation: Track and evaluate supplier performance based on
delivery accuracy, quality, and pricing. Communicate any issues with suppliers to resolve
them quickly.
Reporting & Documentation: Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, inventory
status, and forecast accuracy for senior management. Maintain accurate records of
purchases, supplier agreements, and delivery schedules.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration,
Logistics, or a related field. Experience: At least 2-4 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain planning, or
inventory management.
Skills:
o Strong analytical and forecasting skills
o Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and experience with ERP or
procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Experience with stone profits is a plus
o Strong understanding of inventory management and procurement processes
o Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
o Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in planning and reporting
Certifications: APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or similar
certifications are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the stone (natural and man-made) industry procurement or supply chain
processes
Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in an office environment and visit warehouses or supplier locations as
needed.
Work Environment:
Full-time position with standard office hours and shift timings to cover US time zones [Shift
timing will be designed to support US time zones].
