purchase orders, and inventory management.Role Overview The Purchase Executive will be responsible for overseeing the
complete day-to-day procurement activities at the Tumkur unit. The
role involves ensuring timely sourcing and delivery of materials and
services required for all departments including production,
maintenance, admin, and EHS, while coordinating closely with
cross-functional teams and suppliers to minimize downtime and
ensure smooth plant operations.Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Operations 1. Handle end-to-end procurement for all departments (production,
maintenance spares, consumables, admin, EHS, housekeeping,
etc.).
2. Ensure timely issuance and follow-up of purchase orders in
SAP.
3. Track daily requirements and coordinate with user departments
for on-time delivery.
4. Maintain minimum inventory levels without compromising on
availability.Vendor Development & Local
Sourcing1. Identify and develop local suppliers for small machining jobs,
tool/die manufacturing, and miscellaneous job work.
2. Ensure timely approvals, background verification, and capacity
assessment of local vendors.
3. Share weekly vendor development and delivery status reports
with internal stakeholders.Project Procurement
(Tumkur)1. Coordinate with the Noida project team for sourcing new dies,
molds, jigs, fixtures, and tooling parts.
2. Arrange technical specifications from local teams, visit
supplier/customer sites for feasibility assessments and
requirement finalization.Problem Resolution & Quality
Interface1. Liaise with the quality and intercompany procurement teams to
address supplier-related quality issues.
2. Ensure quick resolutions and process backup to avoid
production disruptions.
3. Visit local suppliers for quality-related support when required.Goods Receipt, Billing &
Payments1. Ensure timely Goods Receipt entries for received goods and
services.
2. Track standing vendor advances, coordinate with finance and
user teams to close transactions promptly.
3. Ensure accurate and timely submission of supplier invoices for
payment processing.Required Skills 1. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendornegotiation, and supply chain dynamics.2. Proficient in SAP/ERP modules related to procurement and
inventory.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate
with vendors and internal teams.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
5. Good working knowledge of MS Office tools for reporting and
