steel manufacturing processes, production management, quality control, and team leadership.
The Plant Head will ensure the plant operates efficiently, safely, and meets production,
quality, and delivery targets while complying with all relevant regulations and industry
standards.Key Responsibilities:
1. Plant Operations Management:
 Oversee the entire production process of Alloy Steel & Carbon Steel Billets, Rolled
Products and Forging Quality Ingots.
 Develop, implement, and maintain optimal production schedules to ensure on-time
deliveries.
 Ensure maximum productivity while maintaining cost control measures and resource
utilization.
 Monitor and manage production planning, inventory control, and quality management
systems.
 Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure machinery and equipment are
properly maintained, and downtime is minimized.
2. Quality Control & Compliance:
 Ensure that the plant operates in compliance with national and international quality
standards, regulations, and safety norms.
 Oversee the implementation of quality control systems to ensure the production of
high-quality alloy steel products.
 Conduct periodic audits to evaluate plant efficiency and product quality.
 Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and
product quality.
3. Safety & Environmental Management:
 Implement and enforce all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
to ensure a safe work environment. Conduct regular safety audits and ensure compliance with all local and international
safety standards.
 Ensure that all workers are properly trained in safety protocols and ensure adherence
to environmental regulations related to the manufacturing process.
4. Team Leadership & Development:
 Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers, supervisors, and operators to meet
production and quality targets.
 Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
 Organize training programs for employees on safety, process improvements, and skill
development.
 Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure that targets are met in areas
such as productivity, quality, and cost control.
5. Financial Management:
 Develop and manage the plant’s annual budget, ensuring efficient allocation of
resources.
 Control operational costs and drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising
quality and safety.
 Review financial reports to monitor plant performance and propose corrective actions
if needed.
6. Strategic Planning & Process Optimization:
 Collaborate with senior management to develop short and long-term production
strategies.
 Identify opportunities for process optimization, technological upgrades, and
equipment improvements.
 Lead initiatives for plant expansion, new product development, and the adoption of
innovative manufacturing technologies.
 Drive implementation of best practices in manufacturing and continuously strive for
operational excellence.
7. Customer Relationship Management:
 Maintain relationships with key customers and suppliers to ensure satisfaction and
manage expectations.
 Address customer complaints and ensure prompt resolution of issues related to
product quality or delivery timelines.
8. Reporting and Documentation:
 Prepare regular reports on production performance, including key metrics such as
output, quality, and downtime.
 Submit operational reports and proposals to senior management for decision-making.
 Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation regarding production activities,
machinery, and safety records.
