Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
o Perform physical checks of all equipment, verifying its condition, modifications, and lifespan.
o Record the value, location, and other relevant details of each item.
o Maintain a well-organized inventory system, ensuring proper labeling and tracking of
equipment.2. Coordination with Procurement:
o Work closely with the procurement team to track newly purchased equipment.
o Ensure all new equipment is accurately recorded in the database and tagged for inventory.
o Monitor delivery timelines and integrate new items into the inventory management system.
3. Data Entry & Database Management:
o Enter detailed inventory information into Excel spreadsheets & Inventory software
o Update and maintain the inventory database, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
o Supervise data entry in the company's inventory management software.
4. Equipment Allocation:
o Monitor inventory levels and manage the allocation of equipment to various departments or
projects.
o Ensure proper documentation for all inventory movements.
5. Reporting:
o Generate periodic inventory reports and provide updates on equipment status.
o Highlight discrepancies or issues in inventory records and recommend solutions.
6. Supervision:
o Oversee inventory processes to ensure compliance with company policies.
o Train and guide team members on inventory protocols and software usage.
7. Process Improvement:
o Identify inefficiencies in inventory management processes and implement improvements.
o Introduce technologies and tools to enhance inventory tracking and management.
o Establish and enforce inventory management policies and procedures.
o Provide training and support to team members on inventory management best practices.8. Audit & Compliance:
o Plan and execute regular inventory audits to verify stock accuracy.
o Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
o Develop and maintain a comprehensive audit trail for all inventory transactions.
o Recommend corrective actions and process improvements based on audit findings.Qualifications:
Mechanical Engineer with experience in inventory management/stores/Supply Chain Management,
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with inventory management software.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred:
Experience in handling technical or IT-related equipment inventory.
Familiarity with database management tools and techniques.
