Job Purpose:
Implementation of Safety norms across the organization and build safety culture within the organization.
Role: The Health and Safety Manager’s duties involve safeguarding machinery, fire safety, occupational
health, noise, control of hazardous substances, manual handling, working with display screen equipment,

Key Responsibilities:
To create and implement health and safety policies in accordance with the latest legislation and to
ensure that these policies are implemented by management and employees
Supporting the Management in the HSE Policy and Guidelines issue.
Implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Systems.
Responsible to create a written health and safety policy and ensure that this document is regularly
updated to reflect any changes to the law.
Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures.
Undertake regular inspections and risk assessments, and ensuring that any hazards or defects are
rectified immediately.
To prevent accidents, injuries and work-related illnesses in the workplace.
Provides for motivation and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the importance of
complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided.
Another key role of the Health and Safety Manager in the workplace is ensuring training all staff in
safety issues.
Carries out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement
plans.
Depending on the nature of the business, the Health and Safety Manager’s duties could involve
safeguarding machinery, fire safety, occupational health, noise, control of hazardous substances,
manual handling, working with display screen equipment, and environmental health.Job Skills & Competencies:

14 plus yrs. Tier 1 and Tier 2 (Automotive firm) / Automobile Manufacturing
Reporting:
Reports to - Operation Head
Reportees - Safety Officer / Sr. Executive / Assistant Manager
