Coordinate material movement between BCS (within SEZ) and SCS, ensuring timely and efficient
transfer to meet production and project requirements.
Develop and implement logistics schedules for both BCS and SCS to align with production timelines,
ensuring optimal material flow and minimizing delays.
All gate pass activities in SEZ/EOU will be taken care by internal logistics i.e. entry/closing.
Responsible for shifting of scrap from production shop floors and other production sites along with
details of weighments across sites duly recorded in SAP system.
Scrap disposal: Monitor scrap loading at point of sale/disposal of scrap
Ensure Compliance with SEZ and Regulatory Requirements:
Oversee compliance with SEZ regulations for materials moved between BCS and SCS, ensuring all
logistics activities meet relevant legislative requirements.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation for all material transfers, ensuring compliance with
SEZ guidelines and company policies.
Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams:
Collaborate with project management, engineering, production, and quality control teams to
understand project requirements and align logistics activities accordingly.
Act as a liaison between BCS and SCS to facilitate seamless material transfers, ensuring alignment
with production schedules and project demands.
Regularly communicate with the Head of Stores and VP Supply Chain Management & Procurement to
provide updates on logistics status, challenges, and resource needs.
Lead and Develop the Internal Logistics Team:
Supervise logistics personnel responsible for material movement across BCS and SCS, setting clear
performance goals and providing training on safe handling practices.
Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and support the professional
development of team members to enhance productivity.
Promote a safety-conscious culture within the team, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols
during handling, loading, unloading, and transportation of materials.
Drive Process Improvement and Cost Efficiency:
Identify areas for improvement within the internal logistics processes, implementing best practices
to reduce lead times and improve resource utilization.
Utilize digital tools and logistics management software to streamline tracking, record-keeping, and
reporting for material movements within and between sites.
Monitor and control logistics costs, implementing cost-saving initiatives and optimizing resource
allocation to meet budget targets.
Prepare Reports and Maintain Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive records of all material transfers, inventory movements, and compliance
documentation for internal logistics.
Generate and present detailed reports on logistics performance and compliance metrics to the Head
of Stores and senior management.
Ensure timely completion and submission of management reports, adhering to internal governance
and logistics best practices.
