Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Foundry Development Engineer with 15+ years of experience in steel casting, specifically using Furan/AlphaSet molding systems. The role focuses on optimizing casting processes, reducing defects, and improving production efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in foundry operations, process optimization, and quality control, with experience in reputed foundries both in India and abroad.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement Furan/AlphaSet casting processes to ensure high-quality and cost-effective production.
- Quality Control: Troubleshoot and resolve defects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and quality benchmarks.
- Tooling & Equipment: Work on tooling design and recommend new materials and technologies to enhance the casting process.
- Project Management: Lead foundry development projects, collaborating with production, engineering, and maintenance teams.
- Health & Safety: Ensure safety regulations are followed, promoting a safe working environment for the foundry team.
- Research & Innovation: Stay current with Furan/AlphaSet technologies and implement innovations to optimize performance and reduce costs.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed records and prepare progress reports for senior management on improvements and quality metrics.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years in steel casting with a focus on Furan/AlphaSet systems, preferably in reputed foundries (India or abroad).
- Skills:
- Expertise in Furan/AlphaSet molding systems.
- Strong background in process optimization, defect reduction, and quality control.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in project management and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with foundry simulation software and engineering drawings.
- Certifications: Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (preferred but not required).
Working Conditions:
