Position: Finance Head
The Finance Head oversees the day to day activities of the finance team and ensures the companies finance function is organized and efficient and procedure accurate financial and management accounts.
Key Responsibilities Area:
- Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and policies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities. This includes income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.
- Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
- Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met and prepare financial management reports.
- Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
- Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
- Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
- Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Recommend, develop and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.
- Reviews and processes routine accounting data for revenue and expenditures,
- Ability to manage with large team members four assistant and get the report from them.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A Bachelor’s / Master degree in accounting, finance with profession certifications of CA and ICWA will be added advantage.
- Finance Head positions typically need 15 to 20 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, including managerial or leadership experience. Preferable with experience in Hospitality Industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills are crucial for Finance Heads to effectively lead and develop their teams. This includes the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor staff, as well as to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department.
- Proficiency in financial planning, analysis, and reporting is essential. Finance Heads should have a deep understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and risk assessment.
- Finance Heads need a combination of technical expertise, leadership abilities, industry knowledge, and ethical conduct to effectively manage the financial affairs of an organization and drive its long-term success.
