Main Tasks/Responsibilities
- Ensure implementation of all relevant company SOPs.
- Work closely with customers and sales personnel to gather data and insights for sales plans.
- Develop and maintain detailed sales plans, including territory assignments and targets.
- Clearly communicate sales plans and targets to all relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in creating accurate sales forecasts and budgetary plans.
- Develop and execute international sales strategies and initiatives to exceed sales targets and achieve strategic sales objectives.
- Negotiate and finalize sales agreements and contracts, ensure favorable terms and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with the production, planning and control and international logistics teams to ensure timely production and shipment of orders.
- Develop and execute strong receivables review and follow-up mechanisms to ensure that collections are made as per the company’s payment policies.
- Monitor market trends and competitor’s activities to identify potential opportunities and threats and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations to senior management on sales performance, market trends and competitive developments.
- Analyse sales performance against plans and targets, identify areas for improvement, share actionable insights and recommend adjustments to sales strategies.
- Analyse sales performance against schemes and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international distributors, customers, agents and key leads to drive sales growth and market expansion.
- Ensure compliance with international business regulations, including legal, financial and logistics aspects of doing business abroad.
- Conduct market research to identify potential international markets and customers for business expansion.
- Develop and deliver presentations, proposals and business cases to prospective customers and other stakeholders.
- Organize and attend trade shows, exhibitions and conferences to represent the company and network with potential customers and industry professionals.
- Utilize the company’s CRM software to track and manage business leads and opportunities.
- Investigate and process all leads and opportunities following the relevant company SOPs.
- Ensure that all leads and opportunities are successfully processed within the assigned TATs.
- Share feedback and insights on customer needs and market trends to help refine product offerings and shape the company’s new product development pipeline.
- Analyze and evaluate the entire end-to-end sales process to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with senior management to streamline workflows and implement process improvements.
- Assist with the development and documentation of standardized sales processes and best practices.
- Collaborate with the product management and marketing teams to develop effective marketing materials that support the company’s sales efforts and initiatives.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align marketing campaigns and initiatives with product promotions and new product launches.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers and address inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Understand customer needs and recommend products to address their specific requirements.
- Coordinate with the sales administration team to ensure exceptional post sales service.
- Develop and implement customer engagement schemes and strategies.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers via outstanding customer service.
- Lead and manage a team of international sales professionals, provide guidance, support and development opportunities.
- Assist with the onboarding of new international sales team members.
- Ensure that international sales personnel have the necessary tools, materials and information to execute their job responsibilities effectively.
- Assist in the creation of Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for international sales personnel.
- Set KPI targets periodically.
- Conduct monthly performance review meetings in collaboration with the HR department for international sales team members.
- Provide timely performance feedback and improvement insights to subordinates and help them achieve their KPI targets.
- Train international sales personnel in sales techniques, strategies and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure implementation of HR and wider organizational policies and procedures in the international sales department.
- Work closely with senior management and the IT team to optimize the effectiveness of the company’s sales technology investments.
- Train sales personnel in the correct and effective use of the company’s CRM software.
- Train sales personnel in the correct and effective use of the company’s SFA software.
- Play an active role in leveraging technology to further automate, streamline and standardize sales processes.
- Understand, live and propagate the core values of the company.
