Key ResponsibiliƟes:
1. Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and
development opportuniƟes.
- Foster a culture of personal safety, food safety, quality, and conƟnuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and effecƟve communicaƟon.
2. Equipment and System Management:
- Design, install, commission, and maintain refrigeraƟon systems, processing equipment, and
instrumentaƟon.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulaƟons, industry standards, and company policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, minimizing downƟme and opƟmizing producƟon.
3. Capital Project Management:
- Develop and manage capital project budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project
execuƟon.
- Ensure projects are completed on Ɵme, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards.
4. Electrical and InstrumentaƟon:
- Design, install, and maintain electrical systems, including distribuƟon, control, and automaƟon.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulaƟons.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and instrumentaƟon issues.
5. RefrigeraƟon and HVAC:
- Design, install, and maintain refrigeraƟon systems, including ammonia, Freon, and CO2 systems.
- Ensure compliance with refrigeraƟon safety standards and regulaƟons.
- OpƟmize refrigeraƟon system performance to minimize energy consumpƟon and maximize efficiency.
6. Food Safety and Quality:
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and BRC systems.
- Collaborate with the quality team to implement and maintain quality control programs.
- ParƟcipate in audits and inspecƟons to ensure compliance and idenƟfy areas for improvement.
7. BudgeƟng and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, including capital and operaƟng expenses.
- IdenƟfy opportuniƟes for cost savings and implement cost-reducƟon iniƟaƟves.
8. ConƟnuous Improvement:
- IdenƟfy opportuniƟes for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency,
reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
