Job Overview:
The Engineer – Maintenance (Mechanical) will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment across the facility. This position will require strong troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance skills, along with a commitment to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical maintenance, including expertise in equipment, machines, and related systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems and machinery, including pumps, compressors, conveyors, motors, and hydraulic systems.
- Equipment Overhaul & Repair: Diagnose mechanical failures, identify root causes, and repair or replace defective parts.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards.
- Root Cause Analysis: Identify the root cause of mechanical issues and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment logs, maintenance schedules, and service reports.
- Preventive Maintenance: Implement and manage a preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to maintenance processes, systems, and equipment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other teams (production, electrical, etc.) to coordinate maintenance activities.
- Training: Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as required.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory for mechanical equipment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 3 to 8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally within [industry-specific environment such as manufacturing, automotive, etc.].
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance techniques; strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
- Software Knowledge: Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or similar software.

- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
