Role: Director of Engineering

Job Description:
What will you be doing?
- Leading responsibility over company products once released to mass production and during full life cycle.
- Lead and expand a well-versed team specializing in hardware, mechanics, and embedded systems working on cutting-edge power electronics products.
- Provide technical management for engineering projects and deliverables, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders within the company.
- Plan for future product modifications while maintaining existing systems.
- Handle staff hiring, people management, career development, and provide coaching.
- Develop, institute, and uphold best practices within the team to create a high-performance environment that delivers predictable schedules.
- Prepare and control budgets for labor and non-labor costs.
Position Requirements:
Skills, Knowledge, Special Attributes
- E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Overall 20+ Years of experience and minimum 10+ years of experience in relevant fields, including mass production, testing and validation, certification, data processing, and analysis of hardware power products.
- At least 5 years in a management position.
- In-depth knowledge and extensive experience in a mass production environment with a deep understanding of the production process and product engineering data collection and analysis.
- Solid background in Electrical Engineering, especially in one or more areas of power electronics and control systems.
- Proficiency in circuit schematics, PCB layout, simulation tools, EMI/EMC, ESD, Mechanical and Thermal design.
- Prior experience with hardware development that meets regulatory requirements and functional safety standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional people management skills.
- Experience in the Global Companies
- Practical experience with the appraisal and promotion process.
- Willingness to travel both locally and internationally on occasion.
Desired experience – the following will be an advantage:
- Understanding of energy storage, grid, and renewable energy systems.
- Development of low-cost and high-volume products.
