Basic Qualifications
B.E/B. Tech preferably in mechanical / Industrial engineering or an equivalent
technical field from an accredited university or college with 10 years of
experience in machining components, heavy castings, and welded parts

Technical Knowledge:
Ensure the quality of machined components, including heavy cast and welded
parts machining.
New Product Development
Conduct supplier audits (VDA 6.3, ISO 9001), process validations, and capability
assessments.
Supplier selection and evaluation based on quality, process capability, and
reliability.
Develop and implement supplier quality control plans, inspection standards, and
acceptance criteria.
Review and approve PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), APQP, and First
Article Inspection (FAI) reports.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action
(CAPA) for supplier quality issues.
Knowledge of CMM and Laser Tracker inspection methods, calibration, and
measurement techniques.
Perform machine calibration and validation of machining processes to maintain
accuracy and consistency.
Experience with HMC (Horizontal Machining Centers), VTL (Vertical Turning
Lathes), CNC Lathe, VMC (Vertical Machining Centers), and Gear Manufacturing
Machines.
Regular reporting to Headquarters in Germany on supplier quality performance,
issues, and improvement plans.
Manage and improve import supplier quality by implementing proactive quality
strategies and continuous improvement initiatives. Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Procurement teams to ensure
supplier quality aligns with company standards.
Handle assembly compliance issues.
Strong NDT expertise. Certified NDT Level II in UT, PT, MPI, VT from ASNT or
equivalent recognized agencies.
Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and supplier management skills.
Knowledge in CMM programming, inspection, calibration, and GD&T
interpretation.
Roles and Responsibilities
Supplier Qualification: Perform audits (Process, Product, Quality systems,
Preassessment/Compliance) to assure that the suppliers have an effective
process, product acceptance standard implemented. Identify & communicate
best practices/risks. Trigger and follow through on supplier improvement
programs.
Provide technical guidance to suppliers to assure compliance with engineering
drawings and specifications.
Co-ordinate with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure timely
inspection, documentation, and clearance of the offered items to meet project
deliverables.
Non-Conformity Management: For all defects, either in-process at supplier’s
works, establish a robust action plan to lead/support the RCA, CAPA and
containment actions to minimize impact & prevent reoccurrence.
Manage Supplier Deviation Request (SDR) activities as owner of the process
and the first technical interface between the suppliers.
Work closely with Sourcing, Quality and Engineering teams to be proactive in
supplier selection.
Willingness to travel for supplier audits, Inspection and quality improvement
activities
Ability to work with global suppliers, especially import suppliers, and drive
improvements.
