Key Responsibilities:
Order Processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders (POs) for
materials, goods, and services required by the company.
Vendor Communication: Work with suppliers to place orders, track deliveries, and resolve
issues related to shipping, order fulfilment, or invoices.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of materials,
goods, and services, and avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
Data Entry & Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of orders, transactions, supplier
agreements, and inventory in the procurement system.
Supplier Relationship Management: Assist in maintaining relationships with suppliers by
communicating order requirements, delivery schedules, and quality expectations.
Cost Control: Help track pricing and supplier agreements to ensure that the company
receives competitive prices and cost-effective solutions.
Market Research: Conduct research on suppliers and products to identify potential cost-
saving opportunities or alternative suppliers that meet business needs.
Compliance: Ensure that all purchasing activities adhere to company policies, industry
standards, and legal regulations.
Reporting: Assist in generating reports related to purchasing activities, including order
status, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., operations, finance, logistics) to
ensure purchasing aligns with company needs and budgetary constraints.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management,
Logistics, or a related field.
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain
management is preferred but not required.
Skills:
o Strong organizational and time management skills
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
o Basic understanding of purchasing and inventory control processeso Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with
procurement or ERP software, especially stone profits is a plus
o Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
o Attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks
Certifications: A certification in purchasing or procurement (e.g., CPSM or CPIM) is a plus but
not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with procurement and supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Stone profit)
Experience in the stone (natural and man-made) industry procurement or supply chain
processes
Strong analytical skills and basic knowledge of cost management and supplier negotiations
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in an office environment, with occasional visits to suppliers or warehouses as
needed.
Work Environment:
Full-time position with standard / Shift office hours [Shift timing will be designed to support
US time zones].
