MUMBAI: HR staffing company Randstad is launching its Randstad Technologies to offer contract employees to IT firms and captives in India, as it looks to become the largest provider of 'on-demand' staff to technology players in the country.
Randstad said the new business would work like a virtual bench for clients and will look to provide project outcome-based business models and project-based engagements as part of its services.
Captives and Indian IT firms have been looking at reducing the number of employees on their bench as they face a growing need to cut costs. Contract hiring helps them bring on employees just when they have projects and removes the need to keep them on their rolls when they have no work.
